Drum Tuning Lubricant
from Diddle Wax
Your drums can be:
- Easier to assemble
- Faster and easier to tune
- Smoother to disassemble
As well as reducing friction, it also protects against corrosion & seizure of metallic parts such as tension rods & lug screws.

An essential tool for drummers, drum restorers, and hobbyists who are frequently disassembling, reassembling and then tuning their precious drums.
Dozens of Drum Uses:

- etc.,
etc., etc.
Our Diddle Wax Drum Tuning Lubricant is a must-have in your drum tool box - and even in your home, car, hobby, or sports toolbox as a clean semi-solid lubricant to overcome squeaks, sticking, chaffing, and generally making things glide better. (EG: Sticking drawers & doors.)
Instructions
Please read before using.
- Store your Diddle Wax Drum Tuning Lubricant in its container, away from direct heat sources.
- Pull the cover off the container, then turn the wheel on its base to expose a small section of the Diddle Wax Drum Tuning Lubricant.
- Rub a small amount
gently to the surface where its
required. Use sparingly - do not
over-apply.
- In the case of a
tension rod, draw the last centimeter of
thread gently (once only) over the Diddle Wax Drum Tuning
Lubricant. That will leave a small
amount on the threads which will
transfer to the lug nut when the rod
is screwed into it. Wipe off any
excess.
- For a bearing edge, rub a
small amount sparingly around the
circumference of the very top of the
bearing edge. Wipe off any excess
with your finger or a cloth.
- To allow a tight drum head to slide more easily over an acrylic drum wrap, you might apply a small amount either to the edge of the wrap, or to the inside of the head's rim. Ease the head over the wrap and rotate it a couple of times to effectively coat both surfaces.
